The United States Army Field Band

Our Mission:
To serve and inspire the American people by telling the Army story and honoring our Soldiers and Veterans at home and abroad as The Musical Ambassadors of the Army.

From Boston to Baghdad, Tampa to Toronto, The United States Army Field Band has been thrilling audiences of all ages for more than six decades. As the premier touring musical representative for the United States Army, this internationally-acclaimed organization travels thousands of miles each year presenting a variety of music to enthusiastic audiences throughout the nation and abroad. Through these concerts, the Field Band fosters the support of the American people for members of the armed forces and supports diplomatic efforts around the world.

“Every one of these professional musicians is an American Soldier.”
-Brigadier General Vincent K. Brooks

Educational Outreach with
International Organizations:

ITF and IHS logo

The U.S. Army Field Band understands the need for a strong relationship with the next generation of musicians. It’s crucial for the band’s relevance and longevity, and thanks to a robust educational outreach program, that relationship is stronger than ever. The band’s many chamber ensembles and clinic teams, its growing library of instructional videos and audio recordings, and its support of such music festivals as Music For All and Eastern U.S. Music Camp make the Army Field Band and the biggest supporter of music education in the United States military.

An important part of that outreach is a strong presence within academic organizations, groups that exist to advance the performance and pedagogy of an instrument. This summer, the Army Field Band performs at both the International Trombone Festival and the International Horn Symposium.
