Master Sergeant Christopher Sarangoulis
Master Sergeant Christopher Sarangoulis is the Euphonium Section Leader and a frequent soloist with the Concert Band. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he studied with Brian Bowman. MSG Sarangoulis has performed with the Peabody Wind Ensemble, Duquesne Wind Ensemble, University of North Texas Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, Dallas Brass, Virginia Grand Military Band, and the Boston Pops. MSG Sarangoulis recently premiered a new work for euphonium composed by Adrian Hernandez, and performed with The U.S. Army Orchestra at the 2010 Army Tuba Euphonium Conference. He resides in Catonsville, Maryland with his beautiful wife, Lindsey, and children, Will, Cate, and Anna.
Sergeant First Class Lauren Curran
Sergeant First Class Lauren Curran grew up in Willis, Texas, and studied with Brian Bowman at the University of North Texas, earning a Master of Music degree in 2007 and a Bachelor of Music degree in 2005. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band, she recorded extensively with the North Texas Wind Symphony, performed with the Dallas Wind Symphony and the Houston Symphonic Band, and was an active chamber musician and teacher in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. SFC Curran is a soloist with the Army Field Band Brass Quintet, a member of the International Women’s Brass Conference, and on the Board of Directors for the International Tuba Euphonium Association.
