Sergeant First Class Pamela Daniels
Sergeant First Class Pamela Daniels is a native of Reston, Virginia. She completed her Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory of Music and her Bachelor of Music degree at The Eastman School of Music. SFC Daniels was also awarded the Performer’s Certificate from The Eastman School of Music in 2008. Before joining The U.S. Army Field Band, SFC Daniels held the position of Principal Flute with the Cape Cod Symphony, and has held fellowships at the Tanglewood Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, and National Orchestral Institute. Her primary flute instructors have included Elizabeth Rowe, Bonita Boyd, Paula Robison, and Judith Lapple.

Sergeant First Class Pamela Daniels

Sergeant First Class Katayoon Hodjati
A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Sergeant First Class Katayoon Hodjati joined The U.S. Army Field Band in 2004. Prior to her appointment, she performed with the Musica Nova, Mesa, and Phoenix Symphonies. SFC Hodjati received both a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and a Master of Music degree from Arizona State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Music degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Oberlin College and Conservatory, as well as a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. SFC Hodjati is the flutist in the Army Field Band Woodwind Quintet and serves as Flute Section Leader. When not performing, she is pursuing her other passions of teaching, cooking, yoga, and Middle Eastern dance.

Sergeant First Class Katayoon Hodjati

Staff Sergeant Troy Paolantonio
Staff Sergeant Troy Paolantonio joined The U.S. Army Field Band in 2018. Previous to this assignment, SSG Paolantonio was a fifer and Assistant Drum Major with The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps from 2011 to 2018. Prior to that, he was a flutist with the 2ID Warrior Band. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Catholic University of America, a Master of Music degree from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance and Music Education from Florida State University. SSG Paolantonio was Program Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention in 2019 and 2020. He was a guest artist at the Kentucky Flute Fair in 2017, and at the Hampton Roads Flute Festival in 2019.

Staff Sergeant Jennifer Zhou
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Staff Sergeant Jennifer Zhou began her flute studies at age six. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band, she performed with various ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, New World Symphony, and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band. SSG Zhou received her Master of Music degree from Rice University and her Bachelor of Music degree with a Performer’s Certificate from The Eastman School of Music. She has participated in music festivals such as Spoleto USA, National Repertory Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, Schleswig-Holstein, Zermatt, Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and the Aspen Music Festival. Her teachers include Bonita Boyd, Leone Buyse, Beth Owen, and Martha Aarons.
