Master Sergeant Adrian Hernandez
Master Sergeant Adrian Hernandez has served as Staff Arranger for the U.S. Army Field Band since 2007, and has arranged music for each of the Army Field Band’s four performing components. He received a Master of Music degree from Towson University (2012), and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin (2004). His work as a film composer has been exhibited with films screened in numerous festivals around the country. Adrian recently participated in the 2011 ASCAP/NYC Film Scoring workshop receiving mentoring from Sean Callery (from the TV show “24”), Mark Snow (from the TV Show “X-Files”), and Ira Newborn (from “The Naked Gun” series). MSG Hernandez’ teachers include Pulitzer Prize winning composer Kevin Puts, Dan Welcher, Donald Grantham, William Kleinsasser, and Jonathan Leshnoff. He currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife, Heather, and sons, Michael and Austin.
Sergeant First Class Paul White
Sergeant First Class Paul White earned Doctorate of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Music degree from Appalachian State University. He studied saxophone and composition with Rick Margitza, Bill Gora, Rick Lawn, Dan Welcher, and Donald Grantham. SFC White’s most recent solo album has been reviewed by “Jazz Times” and “Jazz Magazine.” Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band, SFC White taught at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
Staff Sergeant Daniel Jamieson
Staff Sergeant Daniel Jamieson has attained international recognition for his work as a composer, arranger, and conductor. He is also an accomplished woodwind specialist. His 2011 debut release, Sudden Appearance, featuring the Danjam Orchestra, placed him at the forefront of current big band leaders. He has conducted concerts, radio broadcasts, recordings, and television broadcasts. He has collaborated with Joe Lovano, Joshua Redman, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller, Ingrid Jensen, Anthony Hamilton, Vince Mendoza, John Riley, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Big Band and the Metropole Orchestra. SSG Jamieson has worked with Broadway stars such as Jake Epstein, Alison Fraser, Harriet Harris, Richard Kind, Tony Yazbeck, as well as Emmy-winning producer Jeffrey Lesser and Tony-winning orchestrator Larry Hochman. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. He is originally from Toronto, Canada.
