Master Sergeant First Class Todd Sturniolo (Webmaster)
Master Sergeant Todd Sturniolo earned his Master of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Steve Witser. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, where he studied with James Erdman. MSG Sturniolo is an active trombonist, performing in the trombone section and as soloist with the Concert Band. He has also appeared as a guest artist and soloist with America’s Big Band—the Jazz Ambassadors. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band in 2003, he was a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra (Ohio) and performed with the Cleveland Orchestra Blossom Festival Band. MSG Sturniolo has served as an adjudicator for International Trombone Association trombone competitions.
Staff Sergeant Wesley Anderson
Staff Sergeant Wesley Anderson was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies Performance from Arizona State University in 2010. In 2012, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he began working as a professional musician at Disneyland and began touring nationally and internationally with pianist, Eric Reed. Before SSG Anderson became a member of the Jazz Ambassadors in 2016, he was blessed with the opportunities to perform with numerous jazz luminaries, including Kenny Burrell, Ron Eschete, Barry Zweig, John Clayton, Bobby Pierce, Ernie Andrews, Les McCann, Mary Stallings, Allan Harris, Wycliffe Gordon, Rodney Whitaker, Reginald Thomas, Ronald Carter (Sax), Brice Winston, Eric Schneider, Daniel Barrett, Rusty Stiers, John Noryeko, Sam Pilafian, Patrick Sheridan, Gregg Bissonette, Gordon Goodwin, and select others. SSG Anderson lives outside Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife, Alexis, and is honored to serve his country as the drummer for America’s Big Band.
Staff Sergeant Mitchell Gribbroek
Staff Sergeant Mitchell Gribbroek earned a Master of Music degree from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Central Florida. While pursuing a Graduate Diploma from the New England Conservatory, he won a section position with the Virginia Symphony where he performed until joining the Army Field Band in 2019. SSG Gribbroek has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Virginia Opera, Orlando Philharmonic, Gulf Coast Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony, and more. He can be seen as a featured soloist on the Vic Firth Spotlight video series. He and his wife are active audio/video recording artists.
