Staff Sergeant Bradlee Brown joined The United States Army Field Band in January 2026. He previously served five years with the 25th Infantry Division Band in Hawaii, during which time he traveled to Nepal and Indonesia in support of cultural diplomacy missions. Staff Sgt. Brown earned a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of South Florida where he studied with Dr. Jay Coblea. There, he performed as principal trumpet in the orchestra under Dr. William Wiedrich and lead trumpet with Jazz Band I under Chuck Owen. Staff Sgt. Brown also holds a Bachelor of Science in Instrumental Performance from Austin Peay State University. As a freelance musician, Staff Sgt. Brown has performed in Nashville, Tampa, and Honolulu with various ensembles ranging from New Orleans-style brass bands to Top 40 wedding bands.
