SSG Joseph Mazzara is originally from Alexandria, Virginia. He holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from James Madison University. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Field Band in 2020, SSG Mazzara was a Herndon Foundation Emerging Artist with the Virginia Opera. He has also worked with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Central City Opera, Opera Steamboat, and Opera Saratoga.
