Born and raised in Marlton, New Jersey, SSG Dave Mosko has been playing, studying, and writing music since childhood. He started trombone and piano at the age of 10, and performed professionally around the NJ/Philadelphia area through his high school years. He received his undergraduate education in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University, where he studied with Conrad Herwig and Ed Neumeister.

In 2019, SSG Mosko was named the winner of the American Trombone Workshop Competition and the International Trombone Association’s Carl Fontana Soloist Competition. He was also awarded a Downbeat Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Performance, and was selected as one of 11 musicians from the United States as a Yamaha Young Performing Artist. Before joining the Jazz Ambassadors in 2021, SSG Mosko worked as an accompanist with the Princeton Ballet School and performed/recorded with such greats as Jerry Weldon, Walter White, and Kenny Davis.
