Sergeant Major Brian Spurgeon earned a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. His primary teachers include Tim Adams, Peter Kogan, Cloyd Duff, Paul Evans, and Ron Keezer. He attended the Aspen Music Festival in 2000, and has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony as well as many regional symphony orchestras. SGM Spurgeon joined The U.S. Army Field Band in 2003, and currently serves as the Concert Band Percussion Group Leader and the unit Graphic Designer/Production Team Leader.
