A native of Cary, North Carolina, SSG James Wilson joined The U.S. Army Field Band in 2020. He received a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee and is a former member of the Knoxville Opera Studio and Berlin Opera Academy. In 2017, SSG Wilson made his operatic debut with Knoxville Opera with further appearances to follow in America and Germany including Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Count Almaviva in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and Gabriel von Eisenstein in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus.
