Founded in 1946, The U.S. Army Field Band has spent eight decades connecting the Army with the American people through music. From performances in communities across the United States to appearances on some of the world’s most prominent stages, the organization continues its mission as The Musical Ambassadors of the Army.
The 80th anniversary concert provides an opportunity to reflect on that legacy while highlighting the Soldiers carrying the mission forward today. The program will culminate with a patriotic finale featuring current and former members of the Field Band performing together.
The anniversary comes during a milestone year for the organization and the nation, as the Field Band continues supporting events commemorating America’s 250th anniversary while celebrating its own 80 years of service.
