The U.S. Army Field Band will represent the United States and the U.S. Army at the 2026 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, taking place August 7–29 on the historic Edinburgh Castle Esplanade in Scotland.

One of the world’s most celebrated military performances, the Tattoo brings together military musicians and cultural performers from across the globe for an immersive production combining longstanding traditions with contemporary music, precision movement, dramatic lighting, and cutting-edge sound technology. Set against the imposing backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the annual event celebrates British military heritage, Scottish culture, and the unique traditions of its international participants.

Titled A Call to Gather, the 2026 production will unite more than 800 performers in a celebration of connection across nations, cultures, and continents. The U.S. Army Field Band will appear alongside the German Army Band Koblenz, the New Zealand Army Band, the Qatar Police Academy Band and Drill Team, and military musicians from throughout the United Kingdom. Royal Air Force musicians will take center stage as this year’s Lead Service, joined by Tattoo favorites including the Massed Pipes and Drums, the Lone Piper, and performers representing Scotland’s traditional arts.

Through its participation in the 2026 Tattoo, the U.S. Army Field Band continues its mission as the Army’s premier musical ambassador, building relationships with international partners and sharing the stories of America’s Soldiers with audiences from around the world.
